Chairman Feng Signed Contract on behalf of UREC with Representative of the Owner

Chairman Feng Presented Gifts to Do Phong Thu, Chairman of Vinh Son Investment Joint-stock company

The signing ceremony of Engineering Contract for Vinh Son 5 Hydropower Station Project was held in Qui Nhon, Binh Dinh Province, Vietnam on March 22,2010. Those being present at the ceremony included UREC delegation led by Chairman Feng Ke, Vice President Liu Bo and President Assistant Gao Jianwu, General Manager Deng Xiang of Chengdu Tianbao Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. and the owner’s delegation led by Do Phong Thu, Chairman of Vinh Son Investment Joint-stock company together with the leaders of Industrial and Commercial Bureau, Finance and Revenue Bureau, Plan and Investment Bureau of Binh Dinh Province and leaders from Vietnam Investment and Development Bank.

Do Phong Thu, Chairman of Vinh Son Investment Joint-stock company made a speech before the ceremony to express his sincere congratulations on the formal signing of the contract and his wishes that the cooperation between both parties could fall into place and consummation could be achieved at last. Chariman Feng Ke promised that UREC would stick to the contract so as to supply equipment of high quality and technical services of first class to the owner while the company should do all the best for the early operation and power generation of the station. He also hoped that the communication and cooperation between the both sides could be enlarged and deepened through this project in the further fields including energy, tourism and real estates. The ceremony had been completed in the atmosphere of friendliness and warmth.

Vinh Son 5 Hydropower Station is located in Binh Dinh Province which is in the middle of Vietnam, the installed capacity of which is 2×14MW. UREC is mainly responsible for the purchase, transportation, installation instruction and test-run of the whole set of mechanical and electrical equipment for the project. The contractor of this part of the project was selected by international bidding and the competition was rather fierce. By the continuous efforts and under the support and coordination of the leaders, the relevant departments and the cooperative units, UREC has finally won the project and become the last one standing.
