UREC signed the "EPC Contract for the Construction of Quality Edible Alcohol Factory with an Annual Output of 60,000 Tons in Cambodia " with Rui Feng (Cambodia) International Co., Ltd. on April 26, 2017.

As the auxiliary factory of the owner's sugar plant with an annual output of 20000 tons, this project has a timescale of 24 months. Based on 300 working days, the average daily output of quality edible alcohol will be 200 tons. This project is a bio-ecological project, the main raw material of which is molasses which is the by-product of the sugar plant . The project is in full compliance with the Cambodian state's industrial policy of "large-scale production, pollution reduction and environmental protection". The completion of this project will simultaneously achieve economic, social and environmental benefits maximization. It also marks a breakthrough in Cambodia's ethanol factory since it will historically become Cambodia's first ethanol plant. Deputy General Manager, Mr. Guan Yukun, signed the EPC contract on behalf of UREC. General Manager Feng Ke, the relevant leaders of China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, Yunnan Branch and Kunming Light Industry Machinery Co., Ltd. attended and witnessed the signing ceremony.
